On Thursday and friday, May 9 and 10,
sludt"nts got to decide for the frrst time in
campu!. h1c,to1 y what therr ASLC fee~ were to be
'>pt"nt on
Some thought It was a joke (Probably around
SO%).
Some didn't fill out the ballot (Probably
around SO%).
Some allocated S20 to the Sigma Phi Nothing
Club -a write-in.
And some still don't even know what ASLC
~Iand e, for or who the hell john Taylor 1!. Well
that'!. okay -what are we m school for?
Some notrced a discrepancy on the frgures
l1sted rn 1he 1973-74 Budget Summation for
those of you who bothered to add 11 up. the% of
the total budget ltsted only came out to 71.06.
What happened to 28.94% of our twenty-four
dollars? We know It wasn'1 spent on the U.N.
Interest Group or the Alprne Club -so where IS
it?
• Ion Discrepancy or not, the budget allocation that
you voted on ic not a jokf> and 11 will be used as
• you have voted and understood il would. If only
SO'\. of you vot~d . 1he the other 50% of you are at
the:-mer(;y of your very own Senate to decide
whcH the money goes for (This means that John
Taylor will make $19,500 next year ... ) The l1ttle
cards th.u most of us voted on during registration
th1.-. spnng (remember ?) w1ll play an important
part 10 determining how the unvoted-on money
w1ll be USl'd The resuhs listed on that state
mostly that student ~ believe each organ~zation
should get the san amount of money next year
as they did thb year. It will be interesting to note
how the general consensus clashes when the
results are !allied on the latest.
Scattered proportionately
• Also, the unvoted-on money will then be
scattered proportiona1ely among the vanous
groups, as closely as the Senate can approxrmate
the favor the ma1orrty of those who voted placed
on them What?
So feel free to blame 11 on yourselves if KLC
goes oH the a1r, or the Log office grows sp1der
webs, or the SOFA Director burns his SOFA, or

Debbie Beckwith, who did not fill out the ballot:
' I d1dn t ftll it out because I didn't really care
enough to take the time.'' When asked if more
time should have been allowed to do it, she said,
"No, because I wouldn't have done it anyway."
Rob Leavitt, who did fill out the ballot: "I
allocated all my money exactly evenly. SS to KLC.,
$5 to OSPIRG, SSto the EAC, and SS to the Sailintz
Club " When asked 1f he thought John Taylor
should get anything. Rob said, "I don't worry
about it -you can'1 give money to everybody."
Ride O'Bill who did not fill out the ballot: "I just

On Thursday and friday, May 9 and 10,
sludt"nts got to decide for the frrst time in
campu!. h1c,to1 y what therr ASLC fee~ were to be
'>pt"nt on
Some thought It was a joke (Probably around
SO%).
Some didn't fill out the ballot (Probably
around SO%).
Some allocated S20 to the Sigma Phi Nothing
Club -a write-in.
And some still don't even know what ASLC
~Iand e, for or who the hell john Taylor 1!. Well
that'!. okay -what are we m school for?
Some notrced a discrepancy on the frgures
l1sted rn 1he 1973-74 Budget Summation for
those of you who bothered to add 11 up. the% of
the total budget ltsted only came out to 71.06.
What happened to 28.94% of our twenty-four
dollars? We know It wasn'1 spent on the U.N.
Interest Group or the Alprne Club -so where IS
it?
• Ion Discrepancy or not, the budget allocation that
you voted on ic not a jokf> and 11 will be used as
• you have voted and understood il would. If only
SO'\. of you vot~d . 1he the other 50% of you are at
the:-mer(;y of your very own Senate to decide
whcH the money goes for (This means that John
Taylor will make $19,500 next year ... ) The l1ttle
cards th.u most of us voted on during registration
th1.-. spnng (remember ?) w1ll play an important
part 10 determining how the unvoted-on money
w1ll be USl'd The resuhs listed on that state
mostly that student ~ believe each organ~zation
should get the san amount of money next year
as they did thb year. It will be interesting to note
how the general consensus clashes when the
results are !allied on the latest.
Scattered proportionately
• Also, the unvoted-on money will then be
scattered proportiona1ely among the vanous
groups, as closely as the Senate can approxrmate
the favor the ma1orrty of those who voted placed
on them What?
So feel free to blame 11 on yourselves if KLC
goes oH the a1r, or the Log office grows sp1der
webs, or the SOFA Director burns his SOFA, or

Rob Leavitt, who did fill out the ballot: "I
