Giving

Special Collections at Lewis & Clark is very much the product of the generous support of our enthusiastic community. Donations of individual items or collections are welcome. Please contact our Head of Special Collections to discuss. We are a teaching college; space constraints mean we must prioritize items that support our mission and curriculum, but we are also very much stewards of history, interested in creating and sustaining collections that witness the past in Oregon and the Northwest. Please consult our accession policy for more information about current collecting areas.

We are grateful for the generous financial support of our community. The Rachel Markley Memorial Endowment and Jean Ward Fund support the acquisition of rare material that document the history and impact of women in the Northwest. The William and Kim Stafford Fund supports the acquisition of materials relating to the Staffords, as well as some scholarly inquiry around these collections. We welcome gifts of any size to support the acquisition of rare or unique material that will be used in teaching across the college.
