Jobs and Practica

Every spring, Special Collections offers a two-credit practicum that gives students experience in the fields of museum curation, heritage science, preservation, and archival processing. Students that participate in this practicum gain both practical and theoretical experience as they create a small exhibition, process an archival collection, and read in the field. The practicum requires six hours per week of dedicated study and is advertised in November.

Special Collections routinely hires student workers to help us process archival materials and invigilate our reading room. When these positions are available, they are advertised on the college’s student jobs digital notice board Workday.
