How does all the above jnformotion nifcct the a\·e.rage
campus student?
To begin vnth, we could use help. lt isn't necessary to
maJor m journahsm to work on the LOG. H you're mteresled
m helpmg, our offic:e in the gym is open all day, every day.
Come 1n. Also you m1ght try patronizmg our ad\·ertisers.
And when news is made on campus, you ore the ones that
w1ll be mnkmg it. Durmg the course of the year LOG report
ers talk to hundreds of different students in the quest for
news.
If you have any news-1f you are publicity chairman for
some e\'ent-if you know any recent engngemen · "t I dings,
murders. hayrides, secret conspiractes, ~tc., LET US KNOW.
Originality 1s the keynote!
Rather than gi\•mg names such os 11A", "B", "C'' and
"D'' to the :four new conference rooms in the cafeteria it has • been dee..ded that the students of Lewis and Clark will ha\·e
an opportunity to have somethmg more unique.
There will be a contest w1th stipulations that names
chosen wtll not be those of names of persons or names of
restaurants. etc .. m the Portland area.
Students are asked to ,send m their contributions to post
office box No. 1. A commtltce w1ll be p1cked to Judge which
of the names sent m will be used. A prize will be presented
to the originator of the chosen names.
To start thmgs off~ may we suggest the Pioneer Poopdeck?
Or poSibly the Sacajawe3 Salon-But we're sure you have
better ideas!
