On Garbage ...
Never let it be said thnt students here aren't generous
w1th the1r food. Wh1le two-thirds of the world starv~. we
here have so much to cal that w~ throw what we don't want
on the :floor of the snack shack, on the grounds of the campus
or in the f1sh pond.
Thereby, suppo~edly, our campus rnnscots get their fill.
and our fish get a C'h01ce of salami on whent, 1 yc or white.
And our paid help get more work to do in cleaning up the
debris.
Jt is time that we Americans realize (1) we can'l go on
wasting our food supply and (2) we can't make the world
about us a receptacle for our JeftO\'I?rs.
Hundreds ot thousands of dollars have been spent to make
this campus of ours beautiful. Landscaping. shrubbery, spa
cious green lawns and fish ponds are everywhere about and
nearby there are garbage cans. No matter where a person
goes on the campus, he will find them.
There are two poss1ble answers to the situation. Either
we have mighty poor marksmanship or a complete lack of PIONEER LOC Friday Oetober 19.

But your duties are not ended. It is the student body's

Needed for admittance 'to acth•ities will be the official

Upon presentation th1s button entitles you admittance lo

This week you. the student body, have elected the young
woman who will rule over our Homecoming , 1951.
But your duties are not ended. It is the student body's
responstbilily to see that each event is gi\'en full attention

Needed for admittance 'to acth•ities will be the official

Upon presentation th1s button entitles you admittance lo
