In Descriptive Quest for Ideal Maiden
The demands of aU-out mobilization could well mean a
\'irtual end to Lew1s and Clark as we know it no,,~. The best
to be hoped for in such an enmtunli ty would be a senous
cutback in enrollment.
The rigors of the war years •·women's college" are no
doubt still fresh in the minds of many of the old timers.
To forestall this regression, Presiden t Odell is investiga ting
the possibilities of establishing a military tr:aining program
here.
This would not be an ROTC unit ot men now enrolled,
but rather a spec1alist training program for men now in
service, similar to the na,·y's V-12 units on many campuses
in the last fracas. • 0 •nr Co·t'<i, America : (or. Ode

Free Post Office Boxes
Last fall a 25 cent fee was levied ior all organizations
and students wanting postoffice boxes. This resulted in
reams of protests, both Yerbal and through the campus Vox
Pop. Accordingly, the policy has been abandoned for spring
semester and anyone wanting a box is merely required to
register at the postoffice.
According to the c ffic:e staff, response has been prac
tically nil thus far Smce the business office has gone out
o! its way to please student opinion it would seem that the
students should carry through and Slgtl up for a box. In
short, you wanted free boxes; now, go get them!
