After I went th~ bank route, I went the bookstore
route. Went 1nto every boo~tore: south~a~t . ~outhwest,
north~dSt, northwest-all except lor the Jesus freak
bookstores . Tried to s-ee if there were any po\1tions
.Jvailablc; couldn't find any. I wanted basic retail work.

Allth~ time I wa~ looking in the papers, calling various

mist.Jke w.Js going to an employment agency. Those guvs
are r~al rip-olf people. They found me a JOb for S2.SO per
hour. They tak~ 95% of your iirc;t paycheck-that's
gross-so thev actually keep more than )OU cake home.
The~ 're hustlers. It was great though. I walked into the
employment agency and there were ~me LC people,old
tamihars, there for the ~me reason as me.
1 went that route tor roughly a week. Then I satd 'no
more. 1 c.sn't deal with u·. What they do ,, advertise this
rantastic iob in the paper. They tall tt immediatelv, but
the keep runmng the ad for a ""eek-. So you go down
there and ol course the position isn't open. The agent
says, 'Tell you ""hat, we'll lind you another job'.
