with a noted composer, the other with a variety of top

Student body p1esident Don Pinnock said thal the coun·
cJl felt no guilt and that the administration was not to blame.
but that fault entirely upon the music department's :-;houlders.
He pointed out that because the music department has
chnnged heads. there was a chance for the new departmental
head, Da\•id Campbell, to l:Se uninformed of the coned pro
cedure for scheduling assembilics at that J1our.
Apparl.!ntly acting upon the ad\'ice of the union, cancela
tion of the ,·anety show came directly from Campbell and
was a blow to the WUS dri\'c. Nevertheless, cne definite
result is the realization of the music department that there
are student channels to consider and that although its pro·
gram won, its prestige in non-music circles on campus has
suffered.
Editorial Compliment
A word of compliment is due for the work of Paul Knoll
sophomore, and his committee on the recently held WUS
drive. These students proved that an all-campus project can
operate efficiently and smoothly.
Also for Tom Ka\·any, frsehman, and his M.S. staff, a word
of congratulations for putting out such a large and finished
product.

Student body p1esident Don Pinnock said thal the coun·

but that fault entirely upon the music department's :-;houlders.
Also for Tom Ka\·any, frsehman, and his M.S. staff, a word
of congratulations for putting out such a large and finished
product.
