visit? We rnny hove n relig1ous college, but do we hnve...a
Christian community?
Was there a tremendous let-down after Rchg1on-In-Life
week? If so, why? Jf the assemblies and chapels leave us !
pO\\ edully mo,,ed and anxious to communicate with Christ.
should the routine of classes destroy Lhis feeling? 1 ::;uppo:>e I
the sad part about church is that we must lea,•e the church
.and face the "real world."
Yes. we're allowing Christ on c.ampus w1th a \'Oiunt:ary
chnpel each week and religious groups e\'ery other week.
Will Uus keep t.ht sptrit of Religion-ln-Ltfe week ali,•e
throughout the year? Obviously not. Now the punch b the
pathetic choice a student has to make in attending a religious
group meeting, or a music hour, or mtramurals.
Whnt would 1l be like if in the world todav we had church ~
only every other Sundny. Conversely, then, in havmg a top
notch Rcligion-In-Liie week, what ktnd of follow-up can we
have two weeks later? .A:re we trying to have a Chri .. ~an com
munity or ue these alibtes clothed in white!
If we have a Christian college v:ith no church-rules gov
ernmg :student conduct we need 10 support and strengthen
this serious, sincere attitude. We need to aid this creation of
a Chr1stian community. Are we a''~re of chapels, religious
groups. deputation teams, retreats and n Palntinian society?
They say you only get out of life what you put into it.
I disagree, too many of us sit back and receive, when the giv·
ing stops we feel lost and ask for more to be given.
Who or what is our Master-pride, time, grades, status?
Is this a Christian college or just a chu1 ch rc.late(l col·
lege? Are we fulfilling our A, B, C's with Christ or graduating
BA's standing for Builders of A.lobis for another generatton
that will :feel lost.
Then~ arc students who would only attend one activity
-but there are many who would like to participate in all
three but cannot. Let•s reaclh'1lte our activities with a sched
ule that would give equal, non conflicting time to music
athletics. and religion.
