This was the first building of the college. It was built in 1867 at a cost of $8,000. The gray building faced the town of Albany and the Willamette River.

Wallace Howe Lee

Bertha Sox, Wallace Howe Lee, and Mrs. Langdon in costume for the operetta "Queen Esther," Christmas 1891. Lee was Albany College President from 1895-1905 and 1915-20. He also worked at the college in a number of other positions including Professor of Latin and Greek and Registrar until about 1938.
